Monster Cookie Turns East
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help with the Monster Cookie Metric Century Bicycle Ride. As we get closer to the April 28 ride, I will reach out to you to coordinate the logistics of your role.
We still need volunteers! There are 35 volunteer spots that have not been filled. Here are some details about being a volunteer. Please share them far and wide.
 2. You can volunteer and still do the ride. Volunteer positions are available before the ride date and from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm on the day of the ride.
 3. There is pie! If you volunteer for 4 hours or more, you can choose between a Monster Cookie ride T-shirt or a pie from the Willamette Pie Company.
 4. If you volunteer over the noon hour, lunch is provided.
 5. Volunteering is even more fun when you do it with a friend. Many volunteer positions can be done with a buddy.
 6. People who are not members of the club can also volunteer.
 7. Ride the Monster Pre-Ride on April 20 and get to know follow volunteers. This free ride gives everyone a chance to experience the new Monster Cookie route get to know each other. We'll stop at Willamette Pie Company, too.
 8. Volunteering for the Monster Cookie is FUN! Please join us.
Please let me know if you have any questions about volunteering.
Jillian, your Monster Cookie Volunteer Coordinator

Cycling Book Debuts
at April Meeting
"Cycling Across Oregon," a new book by travel writer Dan Shryock, will be presented for the first time during the club's General Meeting on April 8 at Painters Hall in South Salem.
"Cycling Across Oregon" follows a group of friends as they set out to ride each of Oregon's 17 scenic bikeways in a single year. Dan blends personal experiences with discoveries and stories found along the way. This is an exploration of rural Oregon using the scenic bikeways as a road map.
The General Meeting begins at 6 p.m. Painters Hall is located at 3911 Village Center Drive SE in Salem.
