What is your favorite club ride?
The one that leaves from Independence, crosses on the Buena Vista Ferry and goes around Ankeny Wildlife Refuge. Also, Mount Angel Abbey.
What is your favorite out-of-town ride?
This year my favorites have been the Twin Bridges Scenic Bikeway (out of Bend) and the Ride Around Clark County (new route!).
Do you prefer going uphill or downhill?
Uphill! Or rolling hills. Riding a steep downhill is somewhat terrifying for me, but it’s getting easier the more I ride.
What's the best part about being in the club?
I like riding with people, enjoying the great scenery we have, and stopping for coffee or lunch. I have also learned a lot about riding technique from other members, which I very much appreciate.
Why do you love riding your bike?
It’s a great way to see the world. You see things differently from a bike than you would from a car or if you were walking. Also, it’s fun and a good investment in my health.
